The "year" refers to the year of study reached by the student in Hong Kong at the outbreak of war on 8th December 1941. of the students listed above, except those of the first year, were eligible for registration with the General Medical Council, and certificates together with registration forms filled in by these students had already been despatched by me from Hong Kong to the General Medical Council in London.
These students are naturally all anxious to know whether their studies will be recognised by the General Medical Council, a most of them hope eventually to work in areas which require regist tion with the General Medical Council. I am, therefore, writing t inform you of the present temporary expedient which has been found to enable these students to continue their studies and to request
